1. Dia is a program for creating diagrams of all kinds. The current version can do UML class diagrams, Entity-Relationship modeling, network diagrams, and much more. The engine is very flexible and dynamically loads diagram-types from disk. It stores diagrams in an XML format, but can read and write a number of different formats.

2. Xfig is a menu-driven tool that allows the user to draw and manipulate objects interactively in an X window. The resulting pictures can be saved, printed on postscript printers or converted to a variety of other formats (e.g. to allow inclusion in LaTeX documents).

3. Koffice-Kivio is a flowcharting software similar to the workings of a very well-known other OS product. It offers basic shapes, and in the future, scripted objects for total control over a document. (Descontinuado)

4. Figurine is an X11 editor for xfig FIG3.2-format vector graphics. It is simpler to use than xfig while providing a mostly similar feature set. Figurine can output in any format supported by the fig2dev utility (provided with the external package transfig).

6. Inkscape : A Linux, Windows & OSX vector graphics editor (SVG format) featuring transparency, gradients, node editing, pattern fills, PNG export, and more. Aiming for capabilities similar to Illustrator, CorelDraw, Visio, etc.

7. Koffice-Karbon is a vector drawing application with an user interface that is easy to use, highly customizable and extensible. That makes Karbon a great application for users starting to explore the world of vector graphics as well as for artists wanting to create breathtaking vector art.

8. Sodipodi is a general purpose vector drawing application which uses a subset of W3C SVG (full compliance is currently in the works) as its file format. Drawing tools include rectangles, ellipses, freehand drawing, text objects, imported bitmaps, fills, and outlines.

9. Sketch/Skencil is a vector drawing program written almost completely in Python for flexibilty (with some modules written in C for speed). Sketch supports some interesting features like gradient fills, clipmasks, text along a path or blend groups and bezier curves. All affine transformations are possible. It has plugins that import or export from different formats, and that can be used a way to define new graphics objects.

10. OpenOffice.org - draw is a full-featured office productivity suite that provides a near drop-in replacement for Microsoft(R) Office. This package contains the drawing component for OpenOffice.org.
